Privacy Policy The Japanese Society of Fisheries Science 1. Purpose The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to protect and use effectively the personal information of members and non-members who participate in activities of the Society. 2. Definition Personal information means any personally identifiable information including name, e-mail address, telephone number, affiliation and address which is provided by members of the Society and non-members who participate in activities of the Society. 3. Collection of personal information The Society collects personal information only for conducting operations by the Society that require the information and, in collecting it, clarifies the purpose for which the information is collected. 4. Use of personal information The personal information collected by the Society will be used to the extent necessary for the Society to conduct its operations including the provision of personal information to related organizations. However, the Society may disclose or provide said information if requested through legal procedures. 5. Management of personal information The Society, while working to keep the personal information collected accurate and updated, strives to manage it safely including preventing leaks or losses. However, personal information that has already been released is not subject to control by the Society. In addition, the Society will require compliancy to this policy and appropriate management of personal information from any external business to which it provides said information for the purpose of conducting its operations. Members of the Society are obliged to be careful and avoid leaking the personal information contained in the membership list, etc. to outsiders. 6. Disclosure, correction, etc. of personal information If a person, upon providing his/her information, requests the disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of any of the information, the Society will respond to the request without delay. 7.
